Welcome to Colour Village. A village with a Grey Centre and
four Colour Districts, where people have been viewing the world
through their own half-coloured glasses for generations. Colour
Glasses that, after many years, begin to stick to your face...
Part 1
When
Tom moves to Colour Village with his parents, he befriends children
from all four Colour Districts. He also meets Ben, the eccentric old
inventor who lives at the edge of the forest and who is working on a
pair of glasses with clear lenses for every Colour Villager. Tom and
his friends meet in the Town Park before celebrating together in
Ben's garden. During the party, a small miracle takes place in Colour
Village—without Ben even noticing a thing.
Part 2
Hidden in the
Colour Forest, they discover the remains of a forgotten civilisation:
the Lost Colour Kingdom. Ancient symbols, mysterious discoveries and
a quest for the legendary Heart of Gold gradually lead the children
towards a revelation that changes the way they see the world
forever.
Part 3
What begins as the journey of one curious boy
gradually grows into the idea for a joyful Colour Revolution. Not a revolution of
conflict or violence, but an endless celebration filled with music,
art, games, friendship, first love and new ideas. An invitation to
everyone in Colour Village not only to see themselves and the world
differently, but also to build a brighter future together through
play.
The Colour Village Trilogy is
an adventurous philosophical fable for curious readers aged around
ten and above, in which humour, imagination, symbolism and the first
stirrings of young love go hand in hand. A trilogy with short
chapters, vivid dialogue and numerous illustrations, about curiosity,
connectedness, and the courage to begin something new together—even
when it means going against the current.
