2: Tom and the Lost Colour Kingdom

26-07-2026

Synopsis

Everyone in Colour Village believes that the village was founded by the Colour Tribe. Yet for generations, rumours have persisted that an even older civilisation once existed long before the Tribe: the lost Colour Kingdom.
During their expeditions through the Colour Forest, past the Old Lighthouse and the shipwreck off the coast, Tom, Azur, Vonka, Liva and Zinnia keep discovering different versions of the same ancient Yin Yang symbol. Each one reveals a pair of opposites that are not meant to fight each other, but to complement one another.

As their adventurous and philosophical quest unfolds, the Colour Gang uncovers more and more clues suggesting that this forgotten civilisation not only existed, but deliberately left its knowledge behind for future generations to discover. Meanwhile, Tom finds himself secretly falling more and more in love with Liva—a complication he could well do without.

Then there is the promise of a treasure chest said to contain an endless fortune: the Heart of Gold. Or is there something more to it? According to Captain Onecolour, the Heart of Gold contains...

everything except gold.

As the Colour Children gather the scattered pieces of the past, they begin designing a new future for Colour Village together. But before they can discover what truly lies hidden inside the Heart of Gold, they must first find the treasure chest itself.

The Opening

1 The Colour Gang Is Complete Again!

A week after the party in old Ben's garden – on the now legendary evening when Ada Abracadabra broke through every colour barrier with a video far too embarrassing to describe – Tom, Azur, Liva, Vonka and Zinnia arranged to visit the old inventor once again. They met at the foot of the hillside where Ben had built his little cottage with his own hands and were now following the sandy path up the hill. As they walked, they caught each other up on everything that had happened over the past week.

Ada Abracadabra's video, which by now had been watched by everyone in every Colour District of Colour Village, was still the thing they talked about most. They still weren't sure whether they themselves had accidentally sparked the Colour Revolution on social media. Liva had shared the video with Vonka, who had shared it with her sister, Saffra. Saffra had then forwarded it to a large Red group chat. But after that, nobody knew how Ada's video had spread to every colour channel. Even if someone did know, no one dared admit it. Sharing videos with people from other colours was strongly discouraged, and posting or publishing videos made by people from other colours on your own social media was strictly forbidden.

"We should always be careful, because we judge simple colours—but we're talking about complicated people." - The Old Man
